Sandra Walden

Sandra Walden is the Managing Partner and Founding Member of CSV and RES. Sandra serves currently on the Oregon Renewable Energy Working Group (REWG) reporting directly to the Governor, the Energy Trust of Oregon on the Renewable Energy Advisory Council (RAC), on the Energy Subcommittee for the National Environmental Business Council (NEBC) and on the Board of Directors and member of the Policy Subcommittee for the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association.

She has been a program and project director for more than ten years and is an Oregon real estate broker with a background in mortgage lending and real estate development. As the Real Estate and Marketing Director for City West Development, she pioneered two residential loft projects located in the Pearl District in the early 1980's. Most recently, Sandra worked in the wireless industry where she helped launch pioneering networks for several of the major wireless telecommunications companies. In 2005, she created Real Energy Solutions as a spin off of RealCom Associates in order to enter the renewable energy sector.

Philip Krain

Philip Krain is an associate developer, project manager and analyst within CSV. One decade ago, he was a personal financial advisor, and one of the original steering committee members for the Sustainable Investments Institute. Since that time, he has focused on the business of renewable energy as well as trends of all things sustainable. He completed his MBA at Portland State University with a focus on environmentally sustainable business management. During that time, he received a Business Development and Innovation scholarship at the Copenhagen Business School. This scholarship turned into employment with a Danish biogas technology startup.

Since returning home, he has been marketing renewable energy concepts, technologies and financing to utilities, non-profits and corporate partners. Pursuing the Triple Bottom Line is his goal. Commercial solar development, family time, green drinks and bike commuting are his passions.

Rod Hanson

A principal within CSV, president of RealCom and Real Energy Solutions, Rod has 14 years experience in the wireless business. He has grown RealCom, from a company of one to over fifty people, with offices in Oregon and Washington, since its inception in 2000. Prior to wireless, Rod was a commercial real estate broker.

Paul Slotemaker

Paul Slotemaker is an experienced degree planner since 1996, and member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He has extensive experience assessing projects for permitting requirements. He works directly with the local jurisdictions in the Western Region to accurately apply the zoning code criteria that assures approval of development applications. Paul has also personally assisted the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association and City of Portland in zoning and building code requirement application to solar installations
